Robert Campbell, Mountain Man, Premiere Screening

Presented by Nine Network in partnership with the Campbell House Museum.

Attend the North American premiere of the BBC documentary, Robert Campbell, Mountain Man, followed by a discussion with Director Michael Beattie and the film’s presenter and a descendant of Robert Campbell, Alan McFarland. The film tells the story of Robert Campbell’s bold and dashing life in the Rocky Mountains in the early 19th century. He went on to become a leading citizen of St. Louis, with a vast business empire. The home he purchased in 1854 is now preserved as the Campbell House Museum.

This event is outdoors. Bring chairs for seating. In case of inclement weather, this event will move indoors. Parking is free in the lot adjacent to Nine Network, enter on Spring Street.


10 That Changed America Preview Screening

Join us for a preview and discussion of iconic local favorites in 10 That Changed America. The series explores the nation’s built environment, revealing the fascinating and often untold stories behind America’s streets, monuments and modern marvels. Series producer, Dan Protess, will be on hand for a discussion following the preview.

The foods of Asia are vast and varied and at our July Taste & See, host Cat Neville brings you vibrant flavors from China, Korea, Japan and Vietnam. Dumplings, soups, noodle dishes and stir fries star at this mid-summer event, where the vibrant flavors of east and south Asia will be on display.

Join us for the inaugural season of Dancing in the Commons, a free summer series in the Public Media Commons. Professional dancers from Convergence Dance and Body Center will demonstrate the basic steps, then it’s your time on the open-air dance floor.

You must be 18 years and older to attend. There will be snacks for sale along with a cash bar. Please bring chairs for seating.
